The functionality of back office and legacy applications is increasingly disclosed via web applications. The functionality of the back office application is often used in multiple websites, and a website can also use external services. How to model these situations?
The situation is explained using the following example:
- Figure 17: Websites and application services
The back office application realizes a service 'premium calculation'. This service is used by the two websites. Back office functionality is thus disclosed for these websites. Website 2 is using two external services: 'Authentication' (e.g. DigiD) and 'Route calculation' (e.g. using GoogleMaps).
